Stand-up Comedian

Rizal Ven Geyzel

Widely known for his comedic presence that lands somewhere between the profound and the absurd. He has been praised by Malaysian comedy king Harith Iskander as “the future of Malaysian stand-up comedy” as his special brand of humour touches – with gentle and sometimes not-so-gentle jabs – on personal topics as well as observations on Malaysian life.

TV Personality

Daphne Iking

A Malaysian television personality, an emcee and an occasional actress. Iking first entered the television scene as the model in a Pond’s advertisement. The next year saw her co-hosting Ringgit Sense, a TV3 show on finance. Iking quickly became a recognizable face as the host of reality show Explorace, a reality show similar to The Amazing Race, in 2004 for two years where she is known for her lively personality.

Sarimah Ibrahim

A Malaysian television host, actress singer and Radio Announcer. She is of Irish-Malay descent and was born in Dublin, Ireland. She received her early education in Malaysia, Ireland, Abu Dhabi and at the Emirates International School, Dubai. Sarimah Ibrahim has hosted several television programmes, on both terrestrial and satellite television. She is currently one of the DJs for Mix FM’s the Breakfast Show.

Along Cham Raja Lawak

A comedian, actor and lawyer who started his career through participation in the reality show King Boys with Azrul. He is married to singer Zila Seeron. Along previously served as personal manager to a popular singer, Mawi before venturing into the art. In 2012, Along was appointed as an ambassador with Modenas conjunction with the launch of motorcycle Modenas Ace new.

Ziana Zain

Ziana Zain is a Malaysian pop singer-songwriter, model, entrepreneur and actress. Taking the local music scene by storm in the early ’90s, Ziana captivated fans with her signature single, Madah Berhelah. After that, the singer, who mesmerised the music scene with hits like Anggapanmu, Setia Ku Di Sini and Puncak Kasih. Her talent was established internationally when she was crowned Voice of Asia in Kazakhstan in 1995.

Paperplane Pursuit

A Malaysian pop band based in Kuala Lumpur. The group released their self-made debut album Malaysia 2.0 in 2011, and follow-up album Higher in 2014. Paperplane Pursuit’s sound is upbeat, pop music for mainstream radio. The band has independently and wholly created and produced their own music and accompanying music videos. Since their debut, the band has enjoyed success on mainstream Malaysian radio stations Hitz Fm, Fly Fm, Mix Fm, Red Fm and several other stations. The singles released from their album Higher including “What If”, “Beat of Your Love”, “Feel Good” and their latest single “Who’s Gonna Stop Me?” have all peaked at number one on the Hitz Fm’s Met 10. “Feel Good” is currently gaining traction is the U.S. and has risen above certain mainstream artists.

Ella

Better known by her stage name Ella, is a Malaysian musician, singer, actress, model and entrepreneur. She is also known as “Ratu Rock” (Malay for “Queen of Rock”) by her fans in Malaysia. Her career started as a singer at local night clubs and lounges. After singing in one of those clubs, Ella was approached by a band called The Boys and later agreed to merge with this band to become Ella & The Boys. On 10 June 2012, Ella and her protege, Puteri Caroline Kamel, won TV3’s Mentor Season 6 talent search.
